SINGAPORE: Several countries have issued new advice and warnings about travelling to the United States in recent weeks, with China joining in on Wednesday (Apr 9) by telling its citizens to "fully assess the risks" of visiting the US before they head there.

Denmark, Ireland and Portugal are among the European nations updating their travel advice for those considering a trip to the US.

Meanwhile, China's Ministry of Education has issued a warning for students considering studying in the U.S. The new advisory comes after the state of Ohio passed the Higher Education Act, which includes provisions negatively impacting Chinese-American academic exchanges.
