Millions of pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products are being recalled because of possible Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Friday.

Last week’s nationwide recall of ready-to-eat meat and poultry has expanded to nearly 12 million pounds and now includes products sent to U.S. schools, restaurants, and several major retailers.
