Microsoft has sufficiently 'resolved' a class-action antitrust lawsuit that was filed in opposition of the $70 billion Microsoft-Activision merger.

Microsoft settled an antitrust lawsuit contesting its $69 billion dollar acquisition deal to buy Activision Blizzard in 2022.

The lawsuit brought by gamers against Microsoft has finally met its end. Both sides have requested that the case be dismissed without the possibility of re-filing.

The $2.8 billion tentative agreement would require plans to lift contract restrictions, implement new technology, streamline prior authorization decisions and more.

Using emails from the FTC suit, the group further alleged that Microsoft was attempting to eliminate Sony from the gaming space and subsequent layoffs post-merger were cited as Microsoft's attempts to cancel projects and limit competition, while attempting to make certain titles exclusive to its platforms.
