A passenger onboard an Azerbaijan Airlines airplane that crashed in Kazakhstan has shared the last moments of the aircraft before it went down leaving dozens dead. An Embraer 190 passenger plane belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines morning crashed on December 25 with 62 passengers and 5 crew members on board.

Mobile phone footage circulating online appeared to show the Azerbaijani Airlines plane making a steep descent before slamming into the ground in a fireball in western Kazakhstan.

A survivor of an Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) flight from Azerbaijan's capital Baku to the city of Grozny in the Russian Republic of Chechnya recorded the situation inside the plane during the moments leading up to the accident.

The number of people hospitalized after the crash of the Baku —Grozny plane in Aktau has increased to 27, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported.

ALMATY | Xinhua | A passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines from Baku to Grozny crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on Wednesday, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) said. The Embraer 190 aircraft with flight number J2-8243 crashed near Aktau Airport.

Fourteen victims were taken to hospital after the plane crash in Aktau, five of them in serious condition, according to Kazakh media.
