AAP rejects Delhi exit polls claiming 'historical underestimation' - What pollsters said in last 3 elections

In the 70-seat assembly, 36 seats are required for a majority. Currently, AAP holds 62 seats, BJP has 8, and Congress has none.

Most of the other exit poll results, released on Wednesday, have projected a comfortable win in the Delhi assembly election for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The Delhi assembly election 2025 voting commenced at 7 am and concluded at 6 pm. The counting of votes will take place on February 8. After the voting concluded, all eyes turned to exit polls, with most of the pollsters predicting landslide victory for the BJP and only a few suggesting leverage for the ruling AAP in the national capital elections.

Several exit polls released Wednesday predicted a win for the BJP over the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Delhi assembly elections, while Congress was expected to make no significant gains compared to the last election.

On several exit polls predicting BJP victory, party's Malviya Nagar candidate Satish Upadhyay told PTI, "Exit polls show a BJP storm in the entire Delhi and the broom's straws are scattering. There is no doubt that BJP will form govt this time and Delhi's future will improve..."

The exit polls came after a weeks-long bruising campaign and a day of acrimonious polling that saw turnouts nearly best 2020 figures in the city.
