Vasan Bala's Jigra doesn't really offer anything unique. A prison break thriller isn't something we haven't already seen before (think: Savi, which was released in May). Its simplistic commentary on feminism and class privilege plays spoilsport.

Alia Bhatt's style has consistently dazzled with her daring, elegant, and carefree fashion choices, whether she's wearing glitzy red carpet gowns or effortlessly stylish casual outfits.

On paper, the story of Jigra would be mind-blowing, but the execution is very weak. In fact, we an call this Vasan Bala's weakest film till date. The first half of the movie is very slow, and though the things become better in the second half, the messy climax spoils everything.
