Those who knew Jose Rene Portillo — the 55-year-old Queens superintendent beaten to death last week during an apparent rent dispute — are mourning his tragic loss on a GoFundMe page set up to help pay for his funeral.

The super had gone inside the 70th Avenue unit where the alleged killer lived with a man – to talk about collecting back rent – when a fight ensued, the sources said.

A woman allegedly murdered her apartment building superintendent and stuffed his body parts in a trash bag that she stashed under a bed. Sandra Coto Navarro, 48, is accused of striking the superintendent, identified as Jose Portillo, 55, on the head and stabbing his neck and leg.

The NYPD on Thursday identified the superintendent who was found dead inside garbage bags at a Queens apartment that he had reportedly entered to collect rent.
