Southeast Asian leaders have condemned Myanmar's efforts to achieve peace in the country as "substantially inadequate". In an ASEAN summit statement on Myanmar, the bloc's leaders demanded the country's military government take steps to implement the Five-Point Consensus to achieve an end to the civil war.
