Palisades Fire initially started 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7 in Los Angeles County. It has burned 23,448 acres after being active for 24 days. A crew of 800 firefighters managed to contain the blaze entirely by Friday evening. The fire's cause remains under investigation.
Los Angeles’ Palisades and Eaton wildfires deemed fully contained
NBC News reports that the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection declared the Palisades and Eaton Fires as 100% contained on Friday. Both fires broke out on Jan. 7 and combined burned more than 37,000 acres across Los Angeles County.
