Nearly 200 passengers recently fell ill on Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas ship during a voyage through Alaska. A total of 180 passengers out of the 2,172 total passengers aboard reported feeling ill during the voyage — accounting for more than 8% of cruisers, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

While relatively modest on a percentage basis, the gratuity charge increase at Royal Caribbean is the second in just under a year at the line and brings the cumulative one-year increase to nearly 14%.
