Two people were arrested after a heist at a South Bay grocery store in which more than $1,000 in meat was stolen over the New Year's holiday, deputies said.

Two suspects were arrested after stealing more than $1,000 worth of meat from a Safeway in Cupertino, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office (SCCSO) said Sunday in a social media post. The theft happened last week at the Safeway on 20620 W Homestead Road.
