The San Francisco Giants have an agreement in place with the Boston Red Sox which will net the Giants more international bonus pool space. According to a report from Hunter Noll of Beyond the Monster,

The Red Sox on Wednesday acquired catcher Blake Sabol from the Giants in exchange for international bonus pool space. Sabol, who also has played first base and the outfield, was designated for assignment by San Francisco last week to clear a roster spot for Justin Verlander.

San Francisco police are warning members of the Chinese community to be extra vigilant after thieves have stolen nearly $400,000 from elderly women in recent months in so-called "blessing scams."

The San Francisco Police Department is specifically warning the city’s Chinese community about a recent scam. Police said a total of $374,000 in cash and possessions has been stolen from residents in recent months from this “blessing” scam.
