The Connecticut National Guard and Connecticut State Police have been authorized to deploy in support of the presidential inauguration security.

More than 200 members of the Connecticut National Guard are in D.C. to provide support for the Jan. 20 inauguration.

Governor Lamont announces that Connecticut is deploying units from the Connecticut National Guard and the Connecticut State Police to support security efforts in Washington, D.C. ahead of the 60th United States Presidential Inauguration Ceremony on Monday.

Calling it “an unattended death” aboard the flight, Massachusetts State Police said someone called the Crime Scene Services Section about the death.

Preliminary information suggests Barbara Dipoli, of Topeka, died of a presumed medical episode during the flight, officials said.
