Michigan football landed a transfer commitment Saturday from Georgia linebacker Troy Bowles, the son of Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles:

The Wolverines have now officially signed six players out of the transfer portal from the winter window, as Bowles joins defensive tackle Damon Payne (Alabama), defensive backs TJ and Tevis Metcalf (Arkansas), wide receiver Donaven McCulley (Indiana) and offensive lineman Brady Norton (Cal Poly).

Michigan football is raiding the SEC via the transfer portal. The Wolverines got two transfers from Arkansas in TJ and Tevis Metcalf and former Belleville (Mich.) five-star defensive tackle Damon Payne, who played for four years at Alabama.

The Michigan Wolverines have been aggressive in the transfer portal, and they continue to rise in the rankings as a result.

Not many expected the Wolverines to have a slow go in the transfer portal after the Bryce Underwood recruitment. But, simultaneously, not many expected Michigan football to land some of the top talent in the country,
