Defense attorneys for three former Memphis Police Department officers continued to question expert witnesses on the fifth day of trial.

Three ex-Memphis police officers are facing state charges including second-degree murder and aggravated assault in the beating death of Tyre Nichols.

Preston Hemphill was on the scene of the initial traffic stop of Nichols. He was fired from the department but was never charged with a crime.
