Vistara and Akasa Air faced security threats on twelve flights, activating emergency protocols to ensure safety. Both airlines coordinated with authorities to address threats effectively, keeping passenger and crew safety as a top priority while ensuring disruptions were minimized.

Vistara had reported receiving security threats for six of its flights, including UK25, amid a week that saw nearly 100 bomb threats targeting various flights, most of which were later determined to be hoaxes.

The Civil Aviation Ministry plans to put in place strict norms to prevent incidents of hoax bomb threats to airlines, including placing the perpetrators in the no-fly list.

Although all these calls were hoaxes, passengers had to face immense hardships and airport security infrastructure was under immense stress.

On Sunday, six Bengaluru-bound IndiGo flights received bomb threats through an anonymous post on X (formerly Twitter), claiming there were two bombers on each of the planes. This incident brings the total number of such threats to nearly 200 in just a week,
