The conference will begin at 2 p.m. in front of the current incident command post at Power Plant Coffee located at 7990 Highway 1 in Moss Landing.

Evacuation orders were issued after a fire broke out at a battery facility in Moss Landing, California. The blaze reportedly started at the plant, operated by Vistra Energy, at around 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

A county hotline has also been established for residents to call officials with any questions about the air quality and best practices for keeping safe.

Holland America's Volendam ship departed on a cruise from Miami on Jan. 4, according to CruiseMapper. "I've tried everything," Dr. Nathaniel Chin, an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin Department of Medicine, told The Post.

A plume of material released from the plant contained hydroflouride, a toxic gas, that is now being monitored by Monterey County.

The Moss Landing fire can’t be put out because it involves batteries, authorities said. Residents must wait for it to burn itself out.
