Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton has responded to Kevin Owens‘ brutal attack on WWE SmackDown. Tensions have been building between Owens and Cody Rhodes for the past few weeks, with the former clearly unhappy about Rhodes’ decision to team up with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood 2024.

On the October 18th episode of WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton went to Nick Aldis and said that he wanted a match against Kevin Owens at WWE Crown Jewel. Aldis said he couldn't do that. As Orton pressed him, Aldis revealed that he can't make the match and the decision is coming from above him. Orton said that he knew who to talk to.

Kevin Owens has posted again on social media. In a video posted shortly before Friday’s SmackDown, Owens said it was “unfair” what WWE did to him following Bad Blood when he attacked Cody Rhodes. Owens mentioned that there had been other ambushes inside and outside the ring,
