Mayor Michelle Wu is weighing how to respond to a call from congressional Republicans for her and other Democratic mayors to testify on Capitol Hill over their local immigration policies.

In a statement, a city spokesperson said, “We are proud that Boston is the safest major city in the United States. We have received the letter and are reviewing it.”
