The Jazz made an unusual trade on Tuesday evening, sending out three lesser future picks for one potentially premium pick, albeit six years down the road.

The team traded three of its future first-round picks acquired in the Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell trades from the 2022 offseason for the Suns' 2031 unprotected first-round pick, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

The Phoenix Suns have turned one first-round draft pick into three. Per ESPN's Shams Charania, the Suns have agreed to trade their unprotected 2031 first-round pick to the Utah Jazz in exchange for protected first-round picks in the 2025, 2027 and 2029 drafts.
