Manchester City will play second-tier Plymouth in the fifth round of the FA Cup. Plymouth is last in division two but produced a stunning upset on Sunday to eliminate Premier League leader Liverpool.

The FA Cup fifth round draw takes place tonight and the competition is really starting to open up. Holders Manchester United reached the FA Cup fifth round thanks to a controversial late winner from Harry Maguire against Leicester, while Manchester City remain alive after coming from behind to beat Leyton Orient and thereby avoid a huge upset.

The fifth round of the 2024–25 FA Cup has now been drawn as we said goodbye to Liverpool and Chelsea in the previous stage of competition.
