Liverpool.com on MSNFlorian Wirtz told Liverpool transfer is a 'real shame' ahead of Reds medicalLiverpool's incoming signing has ruffled some feathers in the Bundesliga with his decision not to remain in Germany. Even a senior Dortmund figure isn't happy.
Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for an initial $135 million, according to CBS Sports sources. The agreement to sign the German international could ultimately break the British transfer record set by Chelsea when they signed Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for just short of $145 million.
After several rejected bids, Liverpool have now agreed a deal to sign Wirtz for a whopping €136.3 million (£116.1 million, $157.8 million)—making Wirtz the most expensive sale in Bundesliga history and setting him up to break the Premier League transfer record if all add-ons are met.
