Lisandro Martinez has hit back at criticism from Manchester United legend Paul Scholes, saying the former midfielder ‘wouldn’t survive’ in Argentina. Scholes is not a huge fan of a number of current Red Devils stars, recently suggesting the club should be looking to sell eight players as they look to rebuild to former glories.

That hasn't stopped Scholes from launching a scathing critique, though. The Ginger Prince took aim at Martinez on a recent episode of the Overlap podcast, bluntly stating: “Even when he’s fit, he’s not good enough to win the Premier League with," seemingly kicking the man while he's already down.
