DELPHI, Ind. — The prosecution’s case against Delphi murders defendant Richard Allen moved along briskly Wednesday and Thursday, with jurors hearing testimony from a forensic pathologist, top case investigators and eyewitnesses.

Jurors saw the infamous "Bridge Guy" video and heard from eyewitnesses who claimed they saw the man on the Monon High Bridge trail.

The forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy for Delphi eighth-graders Abby Williams and Libby German the day after they were found dead in the woods near the Monon High Bridge Trail in February 2017 backtracked on the stand.

The trial of Richard Allen in Delphi, Indiana, resumed on Wednesday with ongoing testimony after witnesses failed to definitely prove that a man seen in a video near the crime scene was the suspect. As CrimeOnline previously reported,

The man dubbed "Bridge Guy" has long been considered the suspect in the murders of the two teens. Prosecutors have claimed that Richard Allen, charged with murder, was the man seen on the trail.

Three witnesses who were on the Monon High Bridge trail the day Libby and Abby were killed, including one who said she was best friends with Libby's older sister, testified Tuesday that a man they saw on the trail is "Bridge Guy" — the primary suspect depicted in a grainy photo police later shared to aid their investigation.

Day 5 of the Delphi murders trial included testimony from a pathologist and another witness who reported seeing “Bridge Guy.” Richard Allen faces four counts of murder in connection with the deaths of Abby Williams and Libby German near the Monon High Bridge in February 2017.

Tuesday was the first time prosecutors revealed a portion of the video that shows a man who they allege is Richard Allen.

Tuesday’s proceedings included an account of items found at the murder scene and testimony on the infamous “Bridge Guy” video.

A state’s witness testified that she saw a man, who later came to be known as “Bridge Guy,” covered in blood and mud on the day of the Delphi murders, but became combative during a tense cross-examination as the defense pointed out discrepancies between her testimony and her previous statements to police.
