Things have been a little quiet for Overwatch 2 over the last couple of months. Despite having its 14th season, releasing new Mythic weapon and hero skins, and hosting a couple of 6v6 tests, it hasn't really been able to compete with the hype surrounding Marvel Rivals.

By most accounts, Marvel Rivals is now the king of the hero shooter mountain, but that doesn't mean Overwatch's time has passed. Blizzard is teasing an Overwatch 2 Spotlight event for February 12 that'll tell us about a "groundbreaking" set of changes for the venerable FPS.

Overwatch 2 Spotlight will expand on what the team calls “groundbreaking changes to the PvP experience that will be unlike anything you’ve seen before,” drumming up excitement and setting expectations high for what’s to come.

Developer Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Overwatch 2 will soon get huge PvP changes, and plans to show these off in a livestream this February.
