MLB The Show 25 is making some big changes for 2025. Sony’s annual baseball franchise revealed this week that it won’t be coming to Xbox Game Pass this year and it’s also ditching Sony’s last-gen console, though it’s still coming to Nintendo Switch.

The series has been included at no extra cost with Xbox Game Pass for a while, a notable inclusion considering it’s developed by Sony subsidiary San Diego Studio. But that won’t be the case this time.

Sony has unveiled the latest entry in the beloved MLB The Show series today, and the surprising reveal from an Xbox perspective is that MLB The Show 25 will not be part of Xbox Game Pass when it launches on March 18, 2025.

San Diego Studio has pulled back the curtains on MLB The Show 25, the latest installment in its baseball sim series. This year’s game will be the first to skip last-gen consoles (PS4, Xbox One) and is due out on March 18.
