Austin police have identified the 20-year-old victim of a homicide in southeast Austin late Wednesday night. It happened at 10:35 p.m. October 16 at 2121 Burton Drive, which is less than a quarter mile away from where a double homicide occurred earlier this week.

Once on scene, police found a 20-year-old man suffering from a head injury on the road near the apartment complex. Life-saving measures were attempted, and the Austin-Travis Count

Police say a man was killed and found Wednesday night near an apartment complex in Southeast Austin. A police spokesman said officers were sent to the complex at 2121 Burton Drive, just north of East Oltorf Street,

Three people were killed on Burton Drive in southeast Austin within one week, according to the Austin Police Department.

Burton Drive is not even a mile long, but has seen three homicides in just a week and almost 300 crimes this year, according to APD.

Police are investigating another homicide on Burton Drive near East Oltorf Street after a young man died from his injuries.

A man was charged with driving while intoxicated after police said he crashed with a bicyclist in southeast Austin on Sept. 20. The bicyclist later died in the hospital, according to police.
