A visualization posted to Penn State Athletics’ YouTube page shows how the work is expected to take place and where the temporary bleachers, press box and lights will be located.

The press box project begins what Penn State is calling a "large-scale demolition" of Beaver Stadium's upper West side. Crews will be on-site 24/7 for the next six weeks to prepare the site for construction that will take place ahead of the 2025 season. Penn State plans for some temporary seating for the 2025 season but has not announced details.

The Beaver Stadium press box, which was original to New Beaver Field, was disassembled and moved from New Beaver Field to Beaver Stadium following the 1959 season, along with the grandstands. The press box was expanded to its current configuration in 1980 with additions on either side of the original press box to nearly double its size.
