Celtic moved 16 points clear at the top of the Premiership table after a 2-0 home win over Dundee United. Goals from Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate gave the Hoops the win, on a night when Brendan Rodgers’ side produced another dominant performance at Paradise.

Celtic extended their Scottish Premiership lead to 16 points but were pushed all the way by Dundee United despite initially looking likely to cruise to victory. Daizen Maeda set the hosts on their way midway through the first half before substitute Reo Hatate's late second secured the points.

Celtic returned to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 win over Dundee United to move a massive 16 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership. The Bhoys dominated much of the game, and took the lead midway through the first half as Daizen Maeda pounced on a loose ball after an effort was parried into his path by Dundee United goalkeeper Jack Walton.

Right from the off Celtic took a firm grip of the ball and camped in United's half looking for any gap to exploit. They enjoyed 84% possession in that period alone, pinning their opponents in and ultimately deserved this win. The only frustration will be a failure to threaten Jack Walton nearly enough given their initial dominance.
