January is sex trafficking awareness and prevention month, and with the recent arrest of nine individuals on human trafficking charges in Huntsville, officials are urging the public to stay aware

Sacramento County law enforcement will now work with the California Attorney General's Office and Homeland Security in a new task force aimed at combating human trafficking.

The task force will combine resources from federal, state and local agencies to root out sexual and labor-related exploitation, authorities said.
