The Justice Department said Thursday two Chinese men who tried to defraud Apple, Inc. have been sentenced for trying to defraud Apple out of millions of dollars worth of iPhones.

Two men involved in an elaborate scheme duping Apple into replacing about 6,000 counterfeit iPhones with genuine iPhones were sentenced to prison this week, the US Department of Justice announced Thursday.

The court also sentences Haotian Sun and his co-conspirator to more than four years in prison for carrying out the scheme, which involved over 6,000 counterfeit iPhones.
