On paper, the story of Jigra would be mind-blowing, but the execution is very weak. In fact, we an call this Vasan Bala's weakest film till date. The first half of the movie is very slow, and though the things become better in the second half, the messy climax spoils everything.

While we rely on ‘content’ or writing to classify films as good or bad – or perhaps ‘strong’ or weak would be a more accurate characterisation. It’s rare for a film to have a visual language & conviction that could almost shake that long-held belief.
