Los Angeles Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto has come so far in his sophomore MLB season, and is already a contender for the Cy Young award this year.

On Monday, the Dodgers placed Tyler Glasnow on the injured list with a shoulder problem and he joined Snell, Tony Gonsolin, Clayton Kershaw, Emmet Sheehan, Gavin Stone and River Ryan on the team’s list of injured starters.

Two of Major League Baseball's best starting pitchers will square off on Friday night when Yoshinobu Yamamoto and the Los Angeles Dodgers host Paul Skenes and the Pittsburgh Pirates. First pitch at Dodger Stadium is slated for 10:10 p.m. ET ( GameTracker ).
