Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael R. Weimer announce that a new Master Combat Badge is being rolled out for combat veterans who also have earned skills-related honors. Weimer also announced that the Army is redesigning its physical training uniform.

The Master Combat Badge indicates that the soldier wearing the new device has had both a combat award and achieved expert qualification in their military occupational specialty, Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Weimer during a panel Tuesday at the Association of the U.S. Army’s Annual Meeting and Exposition.

The Army has authorized a new badge for soldiers who have earned both the Combat Infantryman Badge and Expert Infantryman Badge.
