NASCAR has confirmed that it will adopt a preventive measure to ensure a driver remains safe while celebrating in the Victory Lane. However, the sport will not stop drivers from celebrating in the manner that Connor Zilisch did, which led to his fall at Watkins Glen.

NASCAR Xfinity Series star Connor Zilisch suffered a broken collarbone after slipping and falling off of his car in Victory Lane, the driver announced on social media. Zilisch, 19, had just earned his sixth win of the 2025 season at Watkins Glen International and was climbing out of his car to stand on the driver's door and celebrate when he lost his balance and fell to the ground,
