Kia is recalling nearly 75,000 Sorentos because their headlights and taillights may go out. The issue has been traced to a software problem, but no U.S. cases have been reported. Dealers will update the vehicle’s software and owner notifications will go out next month.

Kia recalls 74,000 Sorento and Sorento hybrids of 2024-2025 model-years to fix a software problem affecting the vehicles’ headlights and taillights.

The remedy comes in the form of updated software for the body domain control unit, which is produced by Hyundai subsidiary Mobis
