An Anna University girl student was allegedly sexually assaulted on Christmas Eve. A 37-year old man, who sells biryani on the pavement, has been arrested for the crime.

Bussy Anand, said to be a close aide of Vijay, allegedly gave a letter written by the latter as a notice regarding the Anna University student issue.

The sexual assault of a second-year student on the campus of Anna University on December 23 has sparked protests across Tamil Nadu.
