Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr wants “nothing but the best” for former Warriors guard Jordan Poole. But that doesn’t mean he laments the trade that sent him 18 months ago to the Washington Wizards.

All of the excitement and goodwill from the Warriors' hot start to the season has long since faded, and calls for the franchise to make a trade have been growing louder. During a recent interview with Yahoo Sports,

The Warriors are currently dealing with a flurry of injuries. Jonathan Kuminga, Kyle Anderson and Brandin Podziemski are all currently sidelined with different injuries. WIth Green out, Moses Moody played 29 minutes off the bench on Saturday. Moody tallied 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field with two boards and an assist.

Warriors forward Draymond Green punched former teammate Jordan Poole during practice prior to the 2022 in a move that changed the fates of both Golden State stars. The Warriors, fresh off of an NBA championship, traded Poole to the Washington Wizards and haven't played in the NBA Finals since.

In Green’s absence, Gui Santos started the second half, but the stint was brief. Moses Moody entered three minutes into the third quarter and, for a second straight game, logged a bulk of the team’s minutes at the power forward spot.

Draymond Green is the emotional leader of the Golden State Warriors roster. The veteran forward is relied upon to set a tone, both on the court and in the locker room. His experience as a four-time NBA champion and former Defensive Player of the Year is invaluable; especially now the Warriors are edging toward a younger cohort of players.

“I love most of those guys over there,” Poole said when asked about facing his former team. While he didn’t name names, many interpreted the statement as a subtle shot at Draymond Green, whose infamous practice altercation with Poole led to the guard’s eventual trade to Washington.
