The Buffalo Bills are taking an extra step to prepare for their playoff showdown against the Baltimore Ravens by signing Anthony Brown, a former Baltimore quarterback, to their practice squad. Brown’s role is clear: simulate the dual-threat abilities of Lamar Jackson and give Buffalo’s defense a better chance of stopping the 2019 and 2023 MVP.
The move comes as the Bills gear up to host the Ravens and dual-threat abilites of Lamar Jackson in the AFC Divisional round this week.
Bills coach Sean McDermott was asked about preparing for Jackson during his press conference. McDermott had high praise for the Ravens' quarterback. "There's only one Lamar Jackson at the end of the day," said McDermott. "So you do the best you can to try and simulate it." Then as he shook his head he added, "Good luck."
