Strugglers Holstein Kiel cut the gap to safety to just three points after a 4-2 victory at home to giants Borussia Dortmund.

To seal the game, ten-men Kiel scored a breakaway goal via substitute striker Fiete Arp as Gregor Kobel was caught outside of his goal as he went up for the final corner of the game. This goal marked a historic victory for Holstein Kiel, with it being their first against Borussia Dortmund ever.

Holstein Kiel succumbed to a 3-2 defeat on Saturday at the hands of Freiburg, who were leading 3-0 before conceding in the 85th and 90th minutes. Boss Marcel Rapp might feel his team should have done considerably better defensively considering his side did not face a big chance and only faced an xG total of 0.63.
