Large groups of people were seen carrying boxes of merchandise off freight trains in Chicago and fleeing in cars and vans, leading to massive Metra delays during the afternoon rush hour Friday.

Two people were seen carrying a box that appeared to contain a TV and placing it in a waiting sport-utility vehicle parked nearby.

At least six people were arrested after a chaotic scene erupted on Metra's Union Pacific-West line in Chicago, with video showing people reportedly stealing boxes from freight trains, authorities said.

Several individuals scaled onto the Union Pacific tracks in Chicago and plundered electronics from a parked freight train on Friday. The incident unfolded in broad daylight early Friday afternoon when a group accessed the tracks and forcibly entered the boxcars of a freight train that had been securely locked,

The number of people seen stealing TVs and other electronics, and air fryers, was enough to make one question how so many people were able to pull it off and escape. Jermont Terry reports.
