Tottenham Hotspur assistant coach Ryan Mason won’t be leaving for Brussels after all. Reports emerged Thursday morning that the 33-year old Mason and Belgian club RSC Anderlecht came to a “mutual agreement” NOT to appoint him as Anderlecht’s next head coach.

Ryan Mason is staying at Tottenham after ending talks with Anderlecht over his first managerial role. Anderlecht targeted Mason, who is one of Ange Postecoglou’s assistants at Spurs. But the 33-year-old is enjoying working under Postecoglou and he and Anderlecht have mutually decided now is not the right time for him to move to the Belgian giants.
