The FBI has announced an arrest in connection to the case of four people who died following suspected fentanyl overdoses in South Lake Tahoe last year.

Timothy Austin Pannell met the victims in a church parking lot in 2024, selling them fentanyl he thought was cocaine, authorities said

The case began in February 2024, when the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI responded to a 911 call of multiple overdoses in a South Lake Tahoe residence.
