'11th hour': Hurricane Milton remains Category 5 storm ahead of Florida landfall
WASHINGTON (TNND) — Hurricane Milton regained Category 5 strength Tuesday afternoon with the forecast now calling for the storm to be a Category 4 when it makes landfall Wednesday night. According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Milton was about 300 miles southwest of Tampa and had winds of 160 mph as of Wednesday morning.
