Jose Ibarra, the man accused of killing a nursing student Laken Riley on the University of Georgia campus, was in court in Athens on Friday.

Attorneys representing Jose Antonio Ibarra, the man accused of murdering Laken Riley while on campus at the University of Georgia in Athens in February, have filed to have evidence suppressed and witnesses barred from testifying at trial.

The man accused of killing nursing student Laken Riley is heading back to court for a new hearing about a month before his murder trial is set to start.

The defense claims two cellphones, social media information, location data and “genetic and physical information” were seized without probable cause.
