The famed racetrack has been converted to host baseball for the showcase. Over 85,000 fans were expected on hand for the first-of-its-kind event. MLB's previous attendance record was 84,587 fans at a 1954 game in Cleveland featuring the New York Yankees.

M ajor League Baseball's Speedway Classic in Bristol, Tennessee, is expected to break an attendance record on Saturday, and while heat won't be a factor, there is a risk of showers leading up to the first pitch. The Atlanta Braves will take on the Cincinnati Reds at 7:15 p.m. EDT at Bristol Motor Speedway in northeastern Tennessee.
