Nick Chubb is officially with the Houston Texans. The four-time Pro Bowl running back appeared for the start of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday morning after signing a one-year contract Monday afternoon worth up to $5 million. He will wear the No. 21 to begin his Texans career, though that could change after roster cutdowns.
In 2023, Chubb was one of the exceptions. According to Over The Cap, Chubb was the second-highest paid running back in the NFL that season ($14.8 million). Only Derrick Henry ($16.3 million) was paid more. Those are salary cap figures.
The last time Nick Chubb played and finished a full season healthy, he was a top-six running back overall in Fantasy Football scoring and top-eight in Fantasy points per game in all scoring formats. That was in 2022.
