On Monday, the Grizzlies announced that Ja Morant was diagnosed with a Grade 1 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, giving him a week-to-week status moving forward. Morant has already missed 13 games this season, and Memphis will likely be without him for some of the marquee matchups sneaking up on their schedule.

In spite of the injuries, the Grizzlies (22-11) remain second in the Western Conference standings. They'll be without Zach Edey (concussion protocol), Ja Morant (shoulder sprain), Santi Aldama (ankle), Brandon Clarke (knee), GG Jackson (foot recovery), Vince Williams Jr. (ankle) and Marcus Smart (right index finger).

Ja Morant is off to a strong start during the 204-25 season, but his availability has still been a question mark. The Memphis Grizzlies star has had a string of injuries that started in the preseason with a basketball bouncing into his ankle.
