Microsoft has made the $1 Xbox Game Pass trial unavailable just as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's launch is around the corner.

We're finally getting a new Xbox Series X wrap themed after Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, with some new Xbox controller options as well.

And Microsoft's decision here also seems to be part of a pattern. The company temporarily removed its $1 offer ahead of Starfield's splashy release in 2023, too. But, remember that you don't need Game Pass to play Black Ops 6. You can buy it on Steam and from the PlayStation store, too, when the game releases on October 25.

Xbox is heading into the holiday season with a huge Call of Duty game on the horizon, and to celebrate the upcoming launch of Black Ops 6 on October 25th, the team has designed a bunch of new hardware accessories for fans to sink their teeth into.

With less than two weeks to go before Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 makes its debut, Microsoft has removed its £1/$1 Game Pass trial deal. As you can see in the image below, taken by Eurogamer this morning, the Game Pass page currently only shows the full prices for a month on the subscription service.

Microsoft regularly runs promotions for Xbox Game Pass, especially when trying to bring new subscribers into the fold. One of those promos is often a $1 introductory period for new members, but that option seems to have disappeared for now as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 nears its Xbox Game Pass launch.

Black Ops 6 when it launches later this month. On Monday, Microsoft announced that it will bring the latest Call of Duty game, as well as Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, to Xbox Cloud Gaming at 10 a.m.
