Georgia football is playing rival Georgia Tech again on the Friday of Thanksgiving weekend in 2025. The Yellow Jackets designated home game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will be played on Friday Nov. 28, according to the ACC schedule released Monday night.

The Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will play on Black Friday for the second-consecutive season, it was announced Monday.

For the second straight year, the Georgia versus Georgia Tech football rivalry will be played on a Friday. The 2025 version of the game was originally scheduled for Saturday, November 29th at Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta.

ATLANTA — Georgia Tech unveiled its 2025 football schedule and for the second year in a row, the “Clean Old-Fashioned Hate” rivalry will take place on Black Friday.

Georgia has played a game in Mercedes-Benz every year since the stadium opened in 2017. Most of those games were SEC championships, but the Bulldogs also played Alabama in the 2017-2018 national championship, Oregon in 2022 and Clemson in 2024 at Mercedes-Benz for the Bulldogs’ season opener.

While five of the games on Georgia Tech's 2025 schedule had already been announced, the rest of it was due to come out tonight and it has just been released. A
